10/16/08 -- Former CIA officer Robert Baer makes the case that the US has unwittingly made Iran an emerging superpower. Dr. Trita Parsi argues that allowing Iran to use enriched uranium for fuel under the strict guidelines of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty puts the US in a strong position against nuclear weaponization and avoids engaging in a third war in the Middle East.

  • If the USA or Israel attack Iran, this will be the beginning of the end of Israel and of US Empire domination in the world.

  • Yes, Thanks for posting this video. If only we had more people in our government with the brutal honesty and common sense of Robert Baer.

  • @taraqivideo Really? Why's that? What the fuck has Iran ever done? And dont come back with bullshit nuclear rumors and what not. Iran has nothing.

  • @mixmastermeeks Part 3...Maybe you should protest you're own government to stop selling the most advanced weaponry on the planet to the more brutal regime in the region...Saudi Arabia. The police state is so bad over there they can't even form a protest, and look who's visiting the White House as we speak, the Saudi foreign minister.

  • @mixmastermeeks Part 2...thats how the Iranian system works. If the Iranian people want outside interference they'll ask for it. The US have devastated two neighboring countries on Iran's borders and still occupy Afghanistan against the Afghan peoples will...and you talk about rigged elections in Iran. The irony is breath taking my friend.

  • @shallbeagain The U.S. is no where near the mirror image of Iran. We don't stone people for being gay. We don't stone people at all. Certainly the U.S. government does bad things. If you look at polls over 80% of Americans agree. Look at an Iranian poll. oh, wait. They don't get those polls. And their election was rigged. But we stood by and pretended it wasn't.

  • @mixmastermeeks Maybe true, but Parsi was making a critique of Iran, but its a mirror image of the US and its booming neighbors to the south as you said.

  • @shallbeagain I think some extent that description could be applied to almost every society on earth right now. All except Neighbors to the south making tremendous economic progress.

  • @Xquire Don't forget about the aliens who live in Mt Rushmore. Hope you have enough tin foil to keep yourself in hats.

  • @taraqivideo Pah. One look at an Iranian sailors face while they look up at a U.S. Carrier Flight deck and you know they don't want to fight.

  • Dr. Trita Parsi on problems with Iranian democracy:

"drug abuse is huge...corruption...mismanagement of the economy...their seeing how their neighbors to the south are making tremendous economic progress...etc...etc"

Does this remind us of anyone else?
