A Toronto neighborhood turned into a scene from Old MacDonald's farm...as cows were on the loose...It happened when four cows escaped from a truck...after the truck overturned on a nearby highway. It took homeowners and police a bit of time to get the ordeal under control, but you can't really blame the cows for trying to escape...they were on their way to the slaughterhouse

  • Why not call a vet and shoot them with tranquillizers??

  • Most farmers are treating their animals better than you treat yourself!!!!!! Where the hell are you getting this "factory farm" idea. Get off your sorry ass, go visit a farm out of the concrete place you call home and see how it's done and how hard it is to do it. As far as you rumming circles around my sorry ass......BRING IT ON!!!!! Love to see you move a couple thousand bales of hay when its 85 outside for 2 weeks!!! Are you up for the challenge??? You wouldn't last an hour!!!!!!!!!

  • My father was one of the officers who made the call in putting down the one steer. the cow had managed to wreck property surrounding the neighbourhood and the time was approaching that many kids would be let out of school for lunch. It was a decision that my dad didnt want to make but it had to be done for the safety of the individuals in the neighbourhood...remember Serve and PROTECT!

  • uhhh They just know how to shoot a gun... sad end.

  • I live in Texas we know how to get cattle off the roads. But most cops dont know how. They need to add a class to police school called cow 101. I have personally gotten cattle off the road by myself and Im a woman. The most was about 20 head, turned them around and headed back to the gate on the access road of a hwy in San Antonio. The cops stayed in their cars. It was a blast!

  • @farmmo4ever ur right very ridiculous they are heifers not cows foolish police

  • This has nothing to do with the police officers. A lot of cities or towns have bylaws that do not allow livestock to enter out of control. Meaning if ur cow gets out and passes a certain point it's bye-bye bovine The problem is it takes a extreme heavy caliber bullet to stop a cow. The cops don't exactly carry deer slugs in there shotguns. I know were I used to take my cattle. The city had a special task force if U will to deal with exactly this type of scenario.

  • Oh, Canadian! You're so Canadian.

  • i don't care if they killed it or not. i do know this, you bleeding hearts would be screaming blue murder at the police if one of those bulls mowed down neighborhood kid. "All those police there why didn't you shoot it!!!!??"

  • i agree you get one cow alone and they get spooked real easy the should have got some ppl who knew how to handle cattle a bit better and this could have been avoided
