Supercars Invade Southern Malaysia! - Shell Helix Invasion Tour 2011

Zerotohundred.com is proud to bring you one of the most exclusive automotive drive events this year; the Shell Helix 2011 Invasion Tour.

The Helix Invasion Tour (#HIT2011) is primarily a consumer education campaign with the intention of disseminating the importance of using the right engine oil and caring for one's engine.

Together with the Blue Jackets Society, Malaysia's premiere Supercar club, the event shall see 30 of the best show stopping exotic cars invading a town near you.

The slogan for the event is "The Drive To Protect" which has two significant connotations; protecting the engine and protecting the environment. Thus, the drive is also aimed at educating people about the environment and Shell's dedication towards environmental conservation as well.



There will be two legs to this event, the first drive towards Johor Bahru from Kuala Lumpur, and the second drive towards Penang from Kuala Lumpur.

The first drive will be held this Saturday (3rd December, 2011), and participants will be heading towards Malacca Town from the flag-off point, Proton's Centre of Excellence. From Malacca, the convoy will also head to a coastline awareness and preservation centre; Kelab Alami in Tanjung Kupang, Johor.

There, the Shell Helix 2011 Invasion Tour convoy will attend a presentation by the club's members and will make a RM7,000 cash contribution to support the activities of the club.

The second drive will be held next week (10th December, 2011), and participants will be heading towards Ipoh Town from the Proton's COE. From Ipoh Town, the participants will once again visit another awareness and conservation centre, the Penang Inshore Fishermen Welfare Association (PIFWA) in Nibong Tebal, Penang.

A few lucky winners of the contest organized here will also be joining the convoy, in the participants' vehicles. This will mean that the respective winners will not only enjoy the trip to Johor Bahru and Penang, but also enjoy the opportunity of a lifetime; going in a Ferrari.

Thirty six-year old Dielmier Goh, a production manager in Johor, is excitedly looking forward to the dream road trip.

"Being a motorhead, nothing beats the thrill of hearing a Ferrari's engine roar as it sends big chills down the spine with its forced induced breath which warms the soul," said Goh.

Salman Jeffri bin Othman, 34, a systems administrator from Kuala Lumpur, likened his win to a dream come true and said, "It's a priceless, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Shell and Ferrari rock my world!"

In addition to the convoy, the folks at Lotus Cars Malaysia will also be holding a special Time Attack Challenge in Johor Bahru and Penang on the 4th of December and 11th of December respectively. Tour participants will have the opportunity to take the Lotus Exige S through a slalom course with trophies awaiting those who record the fastest times.
