Jörg Schaaf - "Stories" Live

This is a live demonstration with Demosong 4 of the Spectralis 2. I deleted all Hybrid Synth Part motifs and played them live afterwards. You see the Spectralis in Pattern Jam mode. By selecting another pattern the Spectralis changes automaticly my live sound.
In the left monitor you can see Digital Performer running. I simply recorded directly from the Spectralis into a MotU interface for a better video sound quality. I hope you enjoy the track. Video: LUMIX FZ-28

Wow! Fantastic sounds and a nice tune! I'm considering buying a Spectralis. Is this song made entirely using sounds from the unit and a MIDI-keyboard? I mean not from extensive use of user samples, overdubbing and external effects. In other words: Are you capable of doing this with the raw machine out of the box?...

As mentioned in the informations left above - all what you hear is made with the Spectralis 2. The keyboard has no soundengine - it's just a MIDI control keyboard. The sounds are all included in the factory presets. Even the song is in there as a demonstration. Just check song 4 if you get the chance to check the Spectralis in a music shop. I have not used any external FXs - even the EQ's of my mixing desk are bypassed.

Mich interessiert,ob man mit dem Spectralis auch etwas "fröhlichere" Dance-oder Trance Tracks basteln kann ? Alle Sounds ,die ich bisher höre,gehen in Richtung Apokalyptischer Filmmusik .,Endzeitstimmung. Ist ja mal ganz nett,das mal zu hören,aber das macht ja auf Dauer Depressiv,solche Mucke ! Mir fällt auf : Je mehr Technik,umso mehr Effekthascherei und umso weniger wirklich gute Melodien / Kompositionen.

Tangerine Dream hatte den Sound so ähnlich, aber bessere Musikalische Melodien.
