  • @ttcbandit Hi, I didn't stake or tie it. From what I've read, staking is required for trees that are bare root planted, or a young tree that is under 1" in trunk diameter. This was close to 3" when it was planted. It's starting to turn red right now for the season!

  • Thanks for the awesome video. I just planted mine 3 days ago and its about 15 feet tall, can't wait to see it get big and look nice in the fall. Did you stake and tie yours when you planted it?

  • @jmm0935 It was about 13-14 feet tall with about a 2.5 to 3 inch trunk when we planted it. Bought it from a local nursery balled and burlapped. Almost 2 years later, it's easily grown 4 to 5 feet.

  • If you don't mind me asking what size was the tree when you transplanted?..... was is spaded in or container grown?

  • @robbcayman We had above average rainfall last summer, and it really helped produce exceptional fall color around our area. Enjoy your tree!

  • I just planted mine a few weeks ago; I hope my tree is as red as yours!!! Awesome tree!!
