A good thing about that setup is that, it's easy to build effective torque to the wheels with the transmision ratio but on that type of engine you double (or more) the speed range in a sigle gear conpared with a big displacement engine.
Could be hard to manage smoothly but WHAT A NOISE!!!!!

@matti157 un v 8 benzina fatto con i 2 motori r1 ok ci puo stare ma sono motori con coppia e cavalli troppo in altro problema che vale anche per aspirati benzina di qualunque auto e incomparabili assolutamente a 2.0 o un 3.0 diesel!! cerca i motori duramax diesel sono animali!
