Boot Fix - GRUB Error Solution - Linux Ubuntu

This is another way to fix the ''GRUB Error Rescue'' problem. A very easy way, that I highly recommend! I didn't say in the video, that this method only works for GRUB 2

All you need is an Ubuntu Live-CD and you're good to go!

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yannubuntu/boot-repair
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install boot-repair-ubuntu

Thanks much...very helpful! After doing many very complex fixes via command line, that "sort of" worked in 11.10 - this solved some of it. Though it turns out is really more a hardware issue with my new computer and the motherboard. This is the first time I've ever had any real issues with Linux.

for those that followed the instruction and wasn't able to get it fix. under advance option SELECT THE option that includes chain loading. which is located at the same location as (danger) by this video. hope it helps.
