Cicada Song sung by Dong women from Yinshui village, Longsheng mountainous region, Guangxi Province, China.
'Dong Zu Da Ge' means 'the great/old song of Dong People'. It's a type of traditional chorus singsing of Dong people, an ethnic group lived in southwest China. It goes without instrumental accompaniment. Its multipal layers of chores and the women's unique vocal skills create a haunting harmony that putting a spell on me!

Me 2 Luke. That swing is scary not because they're standing and swinging but because they're swinging out over NOTHINGNESS!!!! Did you see that DROP!? Must be fun when you're courting - sort of like going to a slasher movie together. Adrenaline rush! ;)

Hey, I use to swing like that back in the dayz. Standing up on the swing set at school. Teachers don't like it, but its cool and it can go a lot faster and higher.

I agreed. It does remind me of the Bulgarian Women's Choir as well. There are many Chinese Minorities that sing their own folklores and are very beautiful if you understand what they're singing about. The Bulgarian Women's Choir are awesome.

Sublime! Reminds me of the Bulgarian Women's Choir: no instrumental accompaniment and five-part harmony. Thanks for sharing!
