Hallucination City: Symphony for 100 Guitars is a symphony of transformative beauty by New York composer Glenn Branca.

Orginally commissioned by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and performed at the World Trad Centre in 2001, Branca piece works one hundred specifically recruited electric guitarists to create an epic, loud yet utterly moving symphony of massed guitar tones.

In Dublin, like at all other performances, 40 local guitarists was invited to perform the piece with Glenn Branca.

  • This is one "jig" the Irish probably won't dance to

  • Yeah right....

  • about how long is the whole piece???

  • No Wave is a genre where Glenn Branca was active a long time ago through the band Theoretical Girls. What the previous commenter was referring to with movement, is in other terms what 'track' or what 'piece' of Symphony No. 13 this is.

  • i think it's called 'no wave'

  • Sorry, the same question of all video: what movement is it?

    Anyway, I love it!
