I see the strategy of Deep Political forces in terms of a football game. If you want to move the ball, you send out blockers to defend against the defense. In principle, you may be correct. However, protests, and the police violence at them, help to wisen up more peopel, so when the "day" comes, EVERYONE will know why it happened.
