I generally agree with your comments, but I don't believe anyone has had their rights infringed here. Ms. Ho seems to be a funny and talented person who obviously has a protective fan base. However, her fans should take a cue from her tongue-in-cheek response, and realize, as I'm sure Ms. Ho does, that there is no copyright in a white woman wearing an Afro wig. Sandra Bernhard, another singing white comedian, used to do a similar Afro-wig "ghetto" bit years ago, yet she's not suing Ms. Ho.

If that's the case, so be it - I admit again I haven't watched the videos. I was protesting to the general notion that it was acceptable for a person to waive their rights over their material involuntarily if the entity that's using it without permission happens to be more famous than the original artist and to be paying free lip service to them.
