@sgentlemanjack112 study the entire Bible, and you'll understand what things are sins and what are not. Don't just read one verse, you can easily misinterpret the meaning and context of what was said. Ask any theologian of merit, from any organization, they will all tell you we are not supposed to Judge others, it is a sin. That's all I am going to say on the subject. If you choose to ignore my words, that's your choice. Have fun.

@enginekid88 i repeated what Jesus said, that is not OK?
-
@enginekid88 what are you doing right now?
-
@sgentlemanjack112 If you had actually understood what you read you would not be teaching people the bible tells us to judge others. Since it is a sin.
-
@enginekid88 I have read the Bible sister.

@sgentlemanjack112 try studying the entire bible. only God is judge. It is a commandment that we are not to "judge". It is a sin. Don't just read one verse.
-
@enginekid88 For what it's worth, Jesus actually teaches us how we should judge. He says " First take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.
Jesus doesn't say "don't judge"... He teaches not to be a hypocrite.
Would Jesus want us to judge the actions of hitler? ....of course.

@thuggybearish prophet is the English transliteration of the Hebrew or Greek word for teacher, or speaker. Did a Jehovah's Witness teach something or speak something "falsely"? Or, did they in their attempt to understand events in the Bible, come up with dates that they truly thought were in line with scripture? If you call that teacher a false prophet, or a maker of false statements, then you are judging them, you are saying your know their intentions were to mislead. Only God can judge.

@enginekid88 I don't think that's the proper way to look at a false prophet. If you guess a date that something is going to happen then it's just that - a guess. It isn't a prophecy. The reason that the Witnesses have committed such a grievous sin is because their prophecies have affected the lives of millions of people.

i notice that every Christian organization or break away sect, like the JW's make predictions about Jehovah returning and ending this age. Even scholar's such as Isaac Newton spent considerable time predicting the time this might happen. I am not so sure whether this alone falls under the Corinthian's verses regarding discerning false prophets. Almost everyone who studies the bible does it to some degree. Even Jesus said the time of the end is near at hand, was he then a false prophet?
