I'm very happy that a simple man has won the contest. All you people putting down Skinner are just idiots. This is exactly the type of person who should win. Out of luck, stuggling day to day and loaded with talent. You don't have to agree, but you Do have to accept it. Skinner won on emotion. His story touched millions. He is an inspiration.

It's one thing having to listen to a singer's extraordinary vocals and to see all the wonderful visual effects of a stage production. It's entirely a different thing when a singer invites you to participate emotionally with visual memories of your own. That is Kevin's gift which he presents with his voice and his guitar.

Kevin skinner is a living example of the backbone of this country. The South is where America is still America. We only sound like hicks when we leave the South but I tell you this I am a visual artist. I have worked many years with designers in Manhatten who have Artist from all over the country working for them and guess who is there #1 artist. Little ol me from a small town in SC.
