The spaniards and then Mexico conquered what we call texas...And then the US colonized it. But california and texas had always a strong latino culture (El paso is not an english as well as Los Angeles).

Texas, California, Florida and more belonged to the "Latinos". If you compare the Mayas, Aztecs and Incas civilization they were far more noble than the Modern American "Culture" that is certainly one of the most mediocre generated by humanity!
Look more towards the Aryan cultures from India and Iran as well as the ancient Chinese and Japanese civillization.
