Arlington,VA 11-01-2009 2am Wilson Blvd at N. Irving Street outside the Clarendon Ballroom During Halloween Partying..ACPD Arlington County Police stop the driver of this silver pickup truck after it hits a taxi cab and tries to drive off from the scene, the driver ( a male ) is taken aside for a Field Sobriety Test which apparently he fails and is taken into custody, Later his passenger ( a female ) was uncooperative with the police and would not comply to there reasonable search and seizure of the vehicle, the passenger also was very intoxicated and non responsive at times, the Police had to move the vehicle, deal with her and because they had an arrest on the driver that meant an automatic search of the truck and since the passenger could not drive the vehicle it meant an automatic tow of the vehicle. This video explains alot about police work in my opinion, how traffic stops can always be more than what they seem at first and how things escalate and also the process of probable cause for a field test, the temporary possesion of the truck while trying to move it to a better parking place and how the "chain reaction" works, which is where a domino effect or chain reaction of things occur which keeps maker the situation and incident bigger than before and then minutes later it becomes even bigger..Theres a point in the film when an officer steps infront of me and tries to prevent me from filming and claims i'm interferring, legally this is impossible as i'm standing on a sidewalk which why I verbally protest and make that point, the aggression towards me wasn't so bad and all officers on scene di a really decent job of dealing with everything all while handling the crowd of hundreds of costumed drunken idiots behind me!! It is a public sidewalk and waht I was doingf was perfectly fine, the officer was not serious (lets hope) when he said he could arrest me for interferring especially when I had overwhelming video evidence that i was not!

  • another point about this film is just like my other videos, its meant to show real life situations, police work in general and doesnt have an agenda..you cant have an agenda and film in a way where you record as things happen and release the full raw video file and never have made an edit to meet a specific propagandized agenda..the videos i make are about police work, sometimes about officers but while theres suspects out there, the filming is surrounding them and what the suspects are doing.

  • not sure what you are referring to i legally could have been closer to the arresting officers than i was..i was nowhere close to coming to an interferring point, plus up untill the cop said something to me i remained quiet, you cant be interferring if you haven't said anything, the officers should have been either watching the other cops or should have been helping out, he doesn't have the right to make a judgement about me interferring anyways, the US supreme court already has and i was right!

  • Two chumps busted in one set, sweet...and this one goes out to busted chumps....just think about the night in jail, laywer fee's, ASAP, all the good stuff....but the best pasrt if was all of that worth it for my entertainment???? I say yes it was, that made me laugh thanks chump's,,,

  • You did a great job of standing up for yourself and refusing to be pushed around.

I'm really impressed. My hat's off to you.

  • i wouldnt say he is in the wrong cus he isnt. virginia law requires intent for an interference arrest so by him staying in the sidewalk he is on the right and he could have been talking smack if he wanted to also. but i would say that this guy knows what to do and what to say so when an officer tells him something he likes to show off his knowledge to a cop, thats why the cop walked away and said nothing. Honestly i would have walked a little back and not been an ass about it.

  • what ?? where does it say that haha. sorry but the guy is right. he was far away enough to start screaming "POLICE BRUTALITY" for no reason and it would be perfectly fine. Cops just think that every video camera is out to catch them F**king up. interfering would be them arresting the chick and when they swung her around her face hits the camera, thats interfering. If all you need is an officer to notice you during a misdemeanor stop than they would close the hole street to vehicles and peds.

  • "i was nowhere close to coming to an interferring point"

But that's not a call you are in a position to make; only the police officer is.

Again, I like your videos, I'm glad you risk a lot to get them. All I can say is to get involved in emergency services and I guarantee you will see the situation entirely differently. Public safety agencies need to be in complete control of every situation that they're in. I often learned that lesson the hard way.

  • you cant be interferring if you haven't said anything, the officers should have been either watching the other ...

You are wrong here. Your presense alone is interferring with the officers duty. Public or private property if you are close enough that an officer notices you that is considered hindering or interferring.

  • I like your videos, but you were in the wrong. It doesn't matter whether you're on a public sidewalk, if an officer decides that you're getting in the way of his/her doing their job, its their right, no, responsibility to get you to step aside. Its a judgment call, but the fact is cops need to be able to do their jobs without some bystander hanging over their shoulder.

Again, I like your videos, but you are not vital to the situation, thus you should just step aside in situations like those.
