A musical account (translated from the original Algonkian) of the 1622 Massacre, in which Powhatan Indians led by Opechancanough killed over a third of Virginia's English colonists in a single day.
yeah it wasn't the native custom to kill women or children, but an exception was made after the english continually burned towns and killed indiscriminately. also at this point the english were really being dicks and gobbling up land and resources.
The Saponi and Manahoac which once was enmeies of the Powhatan had joined together with the Powhatan for this.....the joined forces nearly pushed the English back. All of our Powhatan, Saponi, and Manahoac villages had been raided and attacked before we finnally joined together to fight back.
