Every day a steady stream of pedestrians, trucks and forklift trucks passes through the door openings of the
production hall at Schmid Maschinenbau. The doors in the openings must be both fast-acting, safe and
operationally reliable.
Speed of opening and closing is a must, partly so that energy losses from the production hall are not excessive,
but also so that personnel have a comfortable working environment from the point of view of temperature, even if
the traffic through the doors is intensive. RapidRoll 3000 is fast-acting both when opening and closing and is also
very reliable operationally.
Naturally a high level of safety is a requirement for all personnel who pass through the doors on a daily basis.
RapidRoll 3000 has a very high safety standard with contact-free crush protection and photocells in the door
surrounds as standard.
For many modern industrial buildings a great deal of emphasis is now placed on design and the appearance of
the building, quite apart from various functional requirements. This is also the case for Schmid Maschinenbau in
Germany. From the point of view of design RapidRoll 3000 met all expectations.
Schmid Maschinenbau specialise in the sector-independent development and manufacture of customer-specific
special machinary and prototypes, of assembly, automation, handling and interconnection technology as well as
robot stations, electrical/electronic technology and engineering. They cover the areas of engine assembly,
automation technology, assembly and handling technology, transport systems and interconnections of all types.
Schmid Maschinenbau provides everything in one package. This ranges from the analysis of complex assembly
and manufacturing processes via the planning, project management, SE project development and manufacturing
according to the customer specification, to installation of the system, after sales serivce and support services.
