Thanks for the detailed recap! I remember some of those events, like Jackie finding Justin & Brandy (a then-unknown JoBeth Williams) together, which kicked off the whole mess, but I'd forgotten how she arranged the adoption. Once she knew who Alan & Elizabeth Spaulding were, I think she later set up an "accidental" meeting with Elizabeth so that she could become Elizabeth's best friend, and keep an eye on Phillip from a distance as his "Aunt" Jackie.

How did Jackie know that it was Alan & Elizabeth who had adopted Phillip? I thought she knew because her doctor father had arranged the adoption, but I guess I'm mistaken, and it was another doctor. It's hard to remember, because none of this happened onscreen; it was all part of the very complicated backstory, which we learned about through conversations and Jackie's flashbacks.
