Bullying and Teen Suicide is not necessary in this country. This video is my attempt to try and help teens to understand that they do not have to take their own lives.
Thank you very much, to date this video has been seen 123 times in 10 countries, and wish it were more. In fact, I do know of one instance where the video did help a 14 yo nephew of a friend. We have talked several hours on more than one occasion, and he wanted me in the room when he told his parents that he was gay and was considering suicide because of the bullying. He told his parents that my video helped him tell his Uncle and then with further discussion, he needed to tell them.
This is a very touching video, and it reflects what so many young gay people have experienced in the past and are experiencing today. This does show just how important it is for young people to have someone to care for them and for them to be able to talk to someone who does want them to go on and have a full life. You told a meaningful tale, and I hope that those who need to hear it will hear it.
@RCSVirginia That is my hope, but need people to spread it around in the hopes that someone who really needs to hear will hear it. So far it has been seen in Germany, Russia, United Kingdom and Canada but mostly in the USA. I am planning on making another video as soon as I can get the mic on the laptop to work better instead of using my phone camera. Thank you for your nice words
The Trevor Project can be found on-line. Just google it, or look it up on any other search engine. Once again, the phone number given in the video above is (866) 488-7386.
