  • fair enough comment..my opinion is there is no reason why only one style of music should work. What is important is that the music have a close and strong relationship with the film. Perhaps hearing the full piece of music (Len's poem is the intro) may help you to hear the 'primitive, polynesian, rhythmic, jazz and improvisatory' elements that were so important to Len Lye.

  • thank you dude..full credit to the great Len Lye!! :-)

  • I recognise the sound of one of the special effects built into Digitech- brand guitar and bass processors. Put to good use here.

  • you got that right! I dont have that Digitech unit anymore and cant quite remember what the effect was called, but I liked the way it responded to slide guitar. Thanks for your comment

  • perverted?? odd choice of adjective..what do you mean?

  • COOL!!! I started making music for animation and film and found yours to be very good, held my interest. My new Cd (not yet on youtube) has a chill/lounge quality so if you want to hear some new music, I'd love you to add animation.... I posted a students animation to a tune I consider caberet, but hey it was just 15 minutes from press record to layers and fini! Bo is maybe just 16 and he is a student of the arts, I think he's doing well. Thanks, Stefani

  • thanks for the comment Stefani. Len Lye is an iconic New Zealand art figure, and I found it interesting to see someone elses 'take' on Tusalava. I dont do animation really, I prefer to conceptualise and work with film makers. I perform my music live with film projection.

  • I appreciate your posting these lovely films. I also like the music, but I do not think they work well together. I would much rather hear contemporaneous music with this early film.

  • I wish i knew how to put this in a loop and zone right out, love it

  • There are 2 "human-voice"- styled effects on most Digitech processors, and I believe they're called "Ya Ya" and "Synthtalk". I gave mine away to an unemployed friend I felt sorry for!

  • you perverted len lye. truly nauseating.
