i like the ipods sound better

@antonioreyes1987 with the latest firmware now you can.

Download free app called iTalk Recorder it's better than iPod's default recording. I thing the paid version of this app let's you upload your file directly to your dropbox account. Oh and yes it does have a good mic but only for talking. When recording at live bands is just awful. I am good with my H1.

there were two N's in watching at the end, is it suppose to be like that? :O

Your videos are really getting better man...keep it up.

I have 2 Zoom 1's and love them.. I can use it on a boom pole or if I have 2 actors I just attach the clip on mics... Easy and sounds great!

The iPod works nice for who can't afford a Zoom and have an iPod

MAN. That wind screen did AMAZING.
Wow. That iPod really did do a nice job recording the audio. No wind noise either. Amazing. But... how well would the ipod do in a setting like... say, recording a band at the local coffee shop? Or recording a lecture in an auditorium? I bought my H1 for drum lessons. Now I'm rethinking that! Or maybe the iPod wouldn't handle louder noises too well.

@ShelterDogs yeah, voice and music is a big difference, I don't think the ipod would be the choice recorder for a band or even a lecture. Though, you can plug mics into the ipod. (with the correct adapter) you could plug any mic into the ipod. But, the other thing is the ipod, battery life and memory... they seem to fill up and go fast.

haha I just used the Tamron AF 17-50mm F2.8 XR Di2 lens this weekend on my T2i for my senior film I love it! I was shooting at night and the 2.8f does pretty well.

Would you use the Zoom H1 on a boom for a feature film? Or is there a better option for cheap?

@NearPerfectTV hmm.. the mic can achieve pretty good quality for the price, I'm not aware of anything close in quality for the price. You would need to run line out- headphones to be sure your levels are good, and you want to be sure to pick up a wind screen...the mics are super sensitive to wind.
