Behind That Gate - David Rovics

Another SOA-related song, which I wrote the morning of the 2002 protest at the gate to Fort Benning and sang with Allie Rosenblatt. The irony of the situation was stated most eloquently over breakfast to me by Bruce Gagnon -- that the cops would be searching peaceful protesters for hidden weapons outside of the world's biggest terrorist training camp.

mainstreamers and everyone, please watch Joyeux Noel. I loathe Christmas-now, trees, the whole thing, but I loved this movie about ordinary suckers in WWI, 1914, who after a bit of music, booze, cards and football the next day, didn't want to kill one another, in fact cooperated on personal crisis issues. Germans, Scots and French. Amazing. Ordinary suckers haven't had their brains sucked out so bad, this still makes perfect sense. The common enemy is the command structure.

Almost everything is about money. In North America, leave out 'almost'.

It's believed that the Rothschild family is worth in excess of $550 TRILLION!

The USA is in debt about $15 Trillion. The rest of the world would probably total no more than another $50 trillion(just a guess). That would total about 65 Trillion.

Now if we could double that $65 Trillion, pay off all the debts of the world & let them reverse their debts to surplus, ...WOW!!! Still leaves the Rothchild's $400 Trillion!

But don't you feel ashamed of wearing the same uniform like those who commit the most horrible crimes against humanity, ranging from the pilots who drop bombs on schools and nurseries to the torturers and rapists. All wear the same uniform as you. Surely that must feel a bit awkward.

I love David's music, by the way, I wish he was president. :-)

Why is it that whenever someone points out the the problems of this nation they are attacked with the most vile of hateful words. If you point out the economic injustice you are a socialist, it speak out against torture you are a terrorist. We need to stop this and have a civil discourse.
