We join Hopesfall at Vudu Studios during the recording of their new album "Magnetic North", the followup to their critically acclaimed album "A Types". The band is working with producer Mike Watts (AS CITIES BURN, AS TALL AS LIONS) recording at Vudu Studios in Long Island, NY. HOPESFALL recently debuted a new song, "Bird Flu", on the "Trustkill Takeover II" compilation, which came out on October 31, 2006. The song will also appear on the forthcoming album in a slightly altered version.

This PodCast is part two of a special 3 part series "Making of the new Hopesfall album".

  • fuck you trustkill.

  • fuck you trust kill

  • Magnetic north has made my album of the decade list. I have been listening and playing music for longer than a lot of kids that buy trustkill records have been alive. Sometime it is alright no to scream anymore.

  • Who produced this video it sucks. turn the music down we cant hear what the guys are talking about properly, bloody student film maker crap.

  • if you can't pinpoint how much better the lyrics have gotten since a-types and sattelite years... i just don't know how else to help you. Keep sticking to mindless heavy shit, may i reccommend devil wears prada or muckraker

  • So they made an average album, still rocks, satellites still best but its ALL Hopesfall...

  • You're gay

  • Man, Hopesfall kick ass even though he doesnt scream as much. They grew as a band musically and it's only natural for a band that has talent to grow a bit. Don't hate because it's not the Satellite Years, it's Magnetic North and it kicks ass regardless.

  • i do enjoy magnetic north, i think the guitar work is impeccable. i was excited when i first heard the whole album because i thought i would be disappointed by a watered down a-types but it is actually heavier than a-types. i still love hopesfall, i'll always support.

  • i have the new album, got it the day it leaked. i do like it better than a-types, but i've been a fan since frailty, so of course i'm going to like frailty, no wings, and satellite years better. hopesfall has obviously changed their sound completely so to those who say they suck now, well they're not going to change their sound for you... they write what they like and are not sell-outs.
