    I remember buying the album..put down the needle and Gates Of Steel started and I freakin' jumped around my room like a maniac. My mom popped her head into the room and said "I take it you bought a good one!?" That was the understatement of the decade lol.

    Back when live late night comedy shows actually had 100% live musical performances...how SNL let Ashlee Simpson get on their show and try to lip synch is shameful for all who were involved.

    i couldn't get those two performances out of my head all day monday in school after this show i haven't heard since it aired, or maybe re-ran. of course, those were the last days when devo was still good, and whip it came along and turned them into an overnight success/joke.

    i was really disappointed by how much flatter and slicker the album versions sounded after this.

    back then, fridays was as good as SNL, and in the end even better after the eddie murphy cast. too bad it isn't online
