FFS2 BETA: Farther Away

Yep, first I was "So Far Away", and now it's "Farther Away" 0___0.

Well, this AMV is a bit of a love-hate thing. Basically, everything before the chorus is love, everything on and beyond the chorus is hate (dare I say it, perhaps I prefer my Hollow AMV to the second half). Yep, just that easy. Perhaps people will watch the first part of this AMV instead of watching Hollow *shot*.

Ok, I had some good ideas with this video. It was just a matter of putting it in Vegas...which didn't work as I planned (don't you people hate it when that happens?). I basically went with the idea of being left behind, which reminded me of Koichi's flashback (shown in the beginning) when he was running to Koji and just vanishing, as well as when Koichi couldn't catch him at the elevator. Unlike with my Hollow video, this is from Koichi's perspective alone instead of bouncing between the two. This one also pretty much only covers Koichi during flashbacks and the time he was corrupted (as that was the time where he felt ignored and abandonned). I did take some clips from the end of the series, so the AMV can have a happy ending.

Oh, when Koichi is shouting, I didn't use a chroma key. All the movement was cut out by going frame-by-frame masking. Not bad for a first try.

And if anyone is wondering, I put Koichi in most scenes as an offset grayscale because he is usually shown to represent darkness (while Koji, who is usually in colour here, represents light).

Oh, and for those that want story time, I had a lot of technical screw-ups. First, I was in a panic because I lost my track motion button. I needed it for the AMV, but I couldn't find it. I searched all over google...to notice that the button was hidden because the layer's panel was too short.

Another happened just now, when I was trying to save. I went crazy to find out what was wrong...and I noticed I had several layers muted.

Ya, I need a serious lesson in Occam's Razor.

In the pan/crop section, there is a mask option underneath the keyframe timeline. It's only available on pro versions of Vegas I think.

You pretty much dot anchors around the outside of what you want cropped. It takes a lot of practice

Ah by the way, I've forgotten. How did Koichi get to the Digital World again? I know that he fell down the stairs and resulted in a heavy injury, but how'd he get to (spiritually, I think...he didn't get there physically, that's all I know) the World with the others?

Anyways, I still love how you were So Far Away twice and now you're Farther Away. xD That's just insanely awesome lol.

Beginning clip with 'Why won't anyone pay attention to me?!' and the clip flashes to him being Duskmon was just really well done. Second half of the vid wasn't great like you said, but I still love the eye masking part lol. Pwn right thar.
