I will never ride in a horse-drawn carriage in New York or any other city. Horses are fear-based animals & shouldn't be pulling carriages in with traffic. To willfully subject an animal to unhealthy conditions that cause pain and extreme fear is abusive. Carriage rides are about as nostalgic as an outhouse in winter.

If they are going to allow horse carriges, they need them off of the roads. That is the #1 problem.

The conditions that these horses live in are obsurd. It doesn't matter if the men beat them, the point is that horses do NOT belong in the city. Most of these horses have never in their lives been able to graze peacefully in a pasture where they belong. They are constantly breathing in the car feumes, which causes lung problems, not to mention the fact that they carry around 1,000lb+ all day everyday. They live in a building, and in the end are sent to Japan to be killed for their meat.
