You'd be surprised at how our modern Euro NCAP five star cars behave when crashed at speeds greater than 40MPH. Survival rates dramatically decrease at speeds over 40MPH.

Hmm. 1970s car, no structural strength, 20+ years of fatigue & rot, then 1 to 1.5 Ton of metal bars in the trunk. Watch the film, the trunk (boot) drives the whole structure forward right to the end. Ballast crash. Normally intrusion would only get to about the middle / rear of the driver door. Still would kill the driver, but hey. Been in crash testing 13 years,can spot a "ballasted" crash a mlle away - nothing crashes this way normally.
