Does anyone know why I can only type the letters a, i, u, e, o? For example, when I try to type 'na' I can only see the 'a' etc.
Anyone with the same problem?

Which is more common to use, the direct kana input or the romaji input? Is there a difference with age groups?
I'm learning Kanji but the only thing i understood there was 日本語 (Japanese)
but my computer only reads english and nobody else will share their computers so it's pretty hard to learn it..

Are you using Windows XP or Windows Visa?
In this case, usually you will be able to install Japanese input method system.
Please ask to your computer ( "help and support" on the Windows system)
However, I think it's system is for Japanese people.
So, I think that our Japanese input method system is a bit of difficult for foreigners.
