  • True, true! Palin isn't smart enough to use reason, logic or look for the evidence to make a decision.

Even Bush is going: Damn...she's dumb!! =P

  • People won't let go of their Faith, nor would I ask for that. I just want them to cease dictating or affecting other lives using their beliefs as a means. That's poisonous!

School structures, medical practices, relationships, government policies involve religious motives and people are unhappy.

  • @MrFareddy She just went back to the catholics, the opus dei. Sounds like shes really into feeling religious than having strong beliefs.

  • "Is it possible to be highly intelligent and deeply religious?"

Yes. Madonna, for example, has an IQ of + 140. But her religion called KABALLAH is absolute crap! She said it's about the mystical interpretation of the old testament. REALLY? What about sexism, infanticide and child abuse in the Bible?

  • @singingcowboy674 To be honest, there arent many unanswered questions regarding evolution. Small details regarding some genetic phenomena, perhaps but nothing major or even worth mentioning.

I can see why you believe in god, however I cannot accept something or even believe something that has no reason to be believed in.

I could try and delude myself and keep denying evolution to the point where I actually might believe myself, but thats not what i'ma fter

  • @joe80dmanizanerd In response, I would say that I believe in micro evolution but I don't believe in macro evolution. Many scientists though disagree on the specifics of the application of evolution though. There are still a lot of unanswered questions regarding it. I hope you'll humor me there. And from speaking with you I would concur that many scientists in your circle would be eager to look at new evidences. However the most would not. Many scientists DO put FAITH in science.

  • @joe80dmanizanerd I believe one day He will honor that wish. I can only give you personal testimony of my experiences with Him. And I know that that is not enough for your head alone. But if you really seek to find out whether He exists or not, marry your head with your heart. That intuition. I agree too that there are many things that has allegoric meaning in scripture. But it's also a history book in a lot of cases. And I think many Christians use the historical value to rectify the spiritual.

  • @joe80dmanizanerd If in this world, science and faith could work hand in hand, I think maybe we could get the answers so many seek. But as faith is something God desires, it's also something He requires. It is a tribute to Him when you say "God, I don't get it. I don't understand it. I don't even see what I consider evidence of you, but, I'm going to believe in spite of what I don't see and I'm just going to count on you to make yourself known to me." I'm glad that you wish that He was there.

  • @joe80dmanizanerd I completely agree! :) The belief in God is completely and totally irrational. Faith is not a head thing. It's a heart thing. It's simply that many Christians in a heart felt effort to prove God to some atheist that would like to have it proven to them, try to use different things found in what I call creation; as hard evidence that God exists. But God doesn't require head understanding of His existence the way the atheist does. God desires trust in Him that He is there.

  • @singingcowboy674 If there is any Evidence supporting god, or disproving evolution the scientific community that I know would be eager to study this and make up their mind. Science is always open to change as long as there is evidence to support the arguments. Against the general theory of evolution however, there is no such thing.

  • @singingcowboy674 This is because there is nothing to question about the theory of evolution. It's like questioning the theory of gravity. Evolution is a proven fact, not an opinion or belief. Only Americans or non western civilizations would actually bring this discussion up. Sure, certain specifics in the ToE can be questioned like the time between certain evolutions , but the theory in general is simply a fact.

  • @joe80dmanizanerd ....etc; for not subscribing to what they found. It's kind of like what the Catholic Church did with the philosophers who questioned their authority. Those who believed that the earth wasn't the center of the universe, when that was main stream thought as factual, was looked at as fools and heretics. I think this is what happens in mainstream science today when a scientist even dares to question the theory of evolution. They label them a "kook" and discredit them.
