12.09.09 FREE Upgrade to Digitrax DT400R or DT402D throttles for 10 people by Big Al Mayo

UPDATE 12.11.09 I have decided to do the upgrade for the first 10 people for free, just send me the throttle and the mini toggle switch from Radio Shack and I will have it back to you in a couple of days. cant get no better than that!!!
In fact if ANYONE out there can beat my price I will stab myself in the stomach. ANYONE!!! :)


A very Quick HOW TO upgrade your Digitrax Dt400R and DT402D throttles with an on/off mini toggle switch that SHOULD HAVE been installed from the factory. Aww well mines is done now. cost me just $2 and took me just 30 minutes to do. So here it is.

Hey, I don't have dcc yet and I was wondering what you reccomend. I am thinking about bachmann dynamis.... its on sale for 170 from walthers. I was also thinking about the mrc prodigy express, but the guy at the hobby shop said it was crap. Any opinions? He said I should get the zephyr but its pricy for not being handheld and I won't want to buy another controller. Im 15 so I aint rich.

I think MRC looks and runs great! Its not crap. I recommend that one. I use and love Digitrax so I of course highly recommend this one. I like the Digitrax throttle the best because you have two knobs to control two engines on both sides. It is the best. But I like MRC too.

Which digitrax system is your main base or power supply?Do 2 knobs come standard on throtles in sets or is this a feature that came when you bought your add on controller? And how do you feel about The bachmann dynamis?

Thanks for taking the time to respond, I love your layout. By the way, you should check out  train shows if you haven't already, you can get high quality stuff from train hoarders for cheap. like a new proto 2000 for 20 bucks, just a thought.:)

Yo for real no BS. I wouldnt fuck with that cheap ass garbage Dynamis even if someone gave it to me for free. I would only stick to Digitrax. I have the DCS-100 power station and a DB-150 for the booster, My system is hot!

For a small railroad is it okay to get a small wall plug in unit such as the ps515 for the power supply, and then use the Db150 as the 5 amp booster?
