Ignore Doommaster, here's how it goes: Punch-out is big in arcades, gets ported to NES as Mike Tyson's Punch-out!!, then Nintendo wants a sequel. It gets called Mike Tyson's Intergalactic Power Punch while in production, then Mike was arrested and they halted production. Later, another company finished the game, and since Nintendo won't support the game, they publish it without the Mike Tyson liscense as Power Punch 2. PS this was researched thoroughly, because I had to set things straight!

There is a Power Punch 1. It's called Mike Tyson's Power Punch, but because Tyson was arrested, it was never released and they changed the name to Power Punch II.

Power punch 1 doesn't exist. This was meant to be Punch Out 2 but nintendo asked another company to make it. Once nintendo saw how badly they had butchered their beloved game they said to the other company that they could not use the punch out name thus Power Punch was born. So in essence, Power Punch 1 is Punch Out.

This wasn't even supposed to be called that it was originally called mike tyson's galactic power punch where you fought aliens after losing to mac tyson thought that human boxer were to easy for him so he went to space to fight aliens
