Ethnic Indians detained under Malaysia's ISA - 14 Dec 2007

The Malaysian government has defended its handling of a recent protest by thousands of ethnic Indians in the country.

It follows the arrest of five senior members of Hindraf, an Indian rights group, under the country's internal security act.
