@lukeharris33 They're not trying to keep "Layne Staley's memory" alive... they're trying to be in a big huge rock band again. Staley and Cantrell didn't get along well enough to continue being in AIC together. When Staley was still alive, AIC couldn't be a band without him, because fans didn't want it. But now that he's gone, they can get back to playing the big shows.
They're going to always talk about how much they "miss" Layne. If they didn't, the fans would turn their backs on the band.

Good performance, and I applaud AIC for keeping on, and I have nothing bad to say about them. Mr. DuVall is a good singer and performer, but he is no Layne Staley. It will never be the same without Layne. Hats off to AIC.

I love how smart most of you sound by dissing duvall...I personally think he does a pretty good job considering the huge shoes he has to fill. No he's not Layne, but I'd rather have this than no AIC altogether.

i think they should have just reformed as a different name, duvall is a great singer but hes got some big-ass shoes to fill

I think that you should be concentrating less on the look, and more on the music that this band is making.
This band works together no matter how they "look together".
Layne Staley is probably the one of the greatest vocalists ever so there is no use trying to replace him.
They are merely trying to continue his memory by keeping the band alive.
So i ask that you wait until the new album is out before you judge them.
