Lacks the guts of the Les McCann/Eddie Harris version, that's the real deal!

Dee Dee could sing the Yellow Pages, and I'd STILL be enthralled

Toujours bien ce tube de Les Mac Cann. Avec la note Brian Auger pour l'orgue Hammond. Dee Dee le fait bien

SUCKS

She's got the power of Roberta Flack but done with the energy of the Les McCann version.

I felt the "Trying to make ir real compared to what?!" did have the piercing feeling from the original. It's not a bad cover, but I felt it was rather powerless, her voice makes it sound too easy, I need some pain in that part.
The video was well made but I felt I was watching a long commercial.
And the part at 2:16 I felt shouldn't of been in the song.

Amazing rendition of the old version. Dig it!

Very creative video, never seen 3D mixed into 2D photos this way. Still, no getting around that Les McCann & Eddie Harris are the definitive item for this song. When a version is that good, I think you've got to find a mo' different way to do a tune.

I'm sorry but this is lame. I'll stick to the way it was done right in '69 by McCann and Harris.
A lot of work as well as a great interpretation of the song has gone into this video. How much did it cost and who paid for it?
