I had run away from the first tower when it fell on 9/11. After, I found myself basically alone in my apartment in Brooklyn where I was living at the time. All of my friends seemed to have left the City for wherever they could go. I'm not sure why I didn't leave too.
I walked to Atlantic Avenue to buy a digit camera because, I kid you not, the President had told us to buy stuff . I decided to take pictures not of friends or of any of the destruction but just of peoples reaction.
Later, I cut this all together to Simone & Garfunkels The Only Living Boy in New York because when I returned to Manhattan it seemed empty in comparison to what it was before, particularly downtown.
I dont know if it was just because I was there but I always get melancholy when watching this.
