Create The "Benny Benassi Synth" On Reason! (Tutorial 1)

In this video I explain how to create a synth on Reason that sounds very similar to the synth in songs like "satisfaction" and "I love my sex" by Benny Benassi.
Here are the Directions:
First off we are going to create as subtractor
were gunna add a little portamento, Id say about 21 or 22
we are going to move the polyphony to 1
Next were gunna change the F. Frequency to -30 the F. Resolution to 41 and the LFO1 to 25
Next we are going to head over to our Oscillators in the middle, first off make sure you check the box to the left of Oscillator 2 and make sure it is selected. In oscillator 2 we are going to change it to wave form 3
On both oscillators we are going to change them to 3 octaves
We are going to change the mix knob to 80
Now head on over to Filter one and make sure you select HP12
On the Mod Envelope we are going to change the D to 127, thats all the way up
We are going to do the same on the filter envelope, slide the D all the way up to 127
Now we are going to create a MClass Maximizer
We are going to change the input gain to 6.0. make sure you check the box that says 4ms Look ahead.
Next we are going to create a RV-7 Digital reverb
Change the type of reverb to large hall
Size will be -26 and damping will be set to 0
Now set the dry/wet knob to 16
Next we will create an MClass Compressor
Set the input gain to 8.2, The threshold to -11.1, the ratio to infinite 1 (all the way to the right), the attack to 1, and the release to 119.
Next create two PEQ-2 Equalizers
On the first set the Q to 0, and the gain to 24
On the second set the frequency to 40, the Q to 0, and the gain to 63.
Now make sure you click the little circle next to the letter be to make it red
Change the frequency of B to 90, the Q to 10, and the the gain to -64
And thats it!

From the preview at the start I can say you are missing two important things - The glide should take longer (eg notes should slide into eachother more), and you need to use sidechain compression to get the pumping sound

when i open subtractor y have a bss guitar as defaul sound... what patch do u use ot create this beny benassi sound

go to the edit menu and choose initialize patch.

I see you use both Mod and filter envelopes but I do not see you turn up the amount on both envelopes.If you do not turn up the amount

it should not chance the sound in any way because the amount is set at zero.

Did I miss something or did you just over look it

Hey man great tutorial I was just wonderin if you know the answer to this problem I have it might sound like im a bit of a noob, but when ever I create a instrument such as a thor or subtractor it allways loads a random patch and not the init patch. How do i get it back to the init patch. Thanks.
