@Ram0nZarate If you think you can do better, I invite you to load a video of you doing so. Just because your teacher played a gig with a bass player who used to play with someone famous does not mean he knows what he's talking about, or that he's any good. I have played with multiple greats, and I still have so much to learn. Please, load a video of yourself playing the drums and send me the link. I could use a laugh.

@Ram0nZarate 3 gigs!!! booked solid!

Ramonzarate's a funny guy. I'd like to hear more of his thoughts on other drummers.... check out Brian Blade and Bill Stewart they don't have a clue what's going on either. Keep Them Pearls a coming i need a good laugh.

@ Ram0nZarate - more food for thought, you said you have three gigs in the spring. Gregory Hutchinson probably plays 3 gigs a day.

@Ram0nZarate you're right dude. you're so right.

i actually like playing this music myself or listening to it live but ive never add this to my ipod or listen to it regularly....this music is about feeling and if by the time your just not ''feeling it'' and just hearing music for distraction or to past the time at least to me it bores me...but thats just my opinion

@5000Flores Haha, you think you're sooo funny! I tell you what, write it yourself! First of all, I'm not a jazz "drummer" since I want to play music that has actually got a beat to it. Not some random hitting like most jazz guys does. Drumming is about more that being fast, you know. And I don't have the time to write a book, I need to practise my own drumming, and my band takes a lot of time, with a new demo coming out and 3 gigs in spring. In my life, no time to fuck around, it's music 24/7!

@Ram0nZarate you know everything there is to know about jazz drumming, write a book or something, share your knowledge with the world.. please.

LOL!!! That drummer is such a tool! He can't even hit the drums in the beginning (you can hear that he's hitting the rim!)! ROFLMAO!! You're supposed to hit the drums exactly in the middle! That's what my teacher tells me, and he have played a gig with a bass player that is in the same band as Dennis Stratton, who played in Iron Maiden on their first CD!!! So he knows what he's talking about!
@ Ram0nZarate - hitting the drumhead only in the middle is something beginners are taught (which I assume you are from your comments) to develop control and accuracy. Real drummers, especially jazz drummers, use EVERY part of the drum. The rims, the sides of the drums, every inch of the head etc. It's about pulling as many sounds out of your drums as possible. That's one reason why many jazz drummers use smaller kits. They have the skill to make a small kit sound big. They don't need to have a
