Massive section of the Lough is frozen solid, this only happened once before in the 1960's - rare event.

  • It will be as bad this year if not worse, there are scientists talking about a coming maunder minimum, thats when solar activity drops to low levels.

    It's a crime that all house holds and business in Northern Ireland are now paying a global warming tax i.e carbon Tax.

  • I feel so fortunate to have experienced this, it really wasn't normal. I'll always remember walking round a frozen lake in Ballymena.

    Let's hope the summer is a record-breaker too!

    (And NOT in terms of rainfall...) ;-)
