If identical does not mean you have to look alike, then why call it identical in the first place? After the very definition of identical is:

1. similar or alike in every way, i.e.: The two cars are identical except for their license plates.

2. being the very same; selfsame, i.e.: This is the identical room we stayed in last year

Being identical does not mean you have to look alike. Identical means when the two eggs were formed in the womb they were part of the same sack. Fraternal means separate.
