i go to rubicon bay every summer and DJ bliss is about a quarter of a mile down the beach from my house. I was always mystified how rubicons green water suddenly turned blue, where as most tahoe shoreline would have a gradual change from green water to blue. I agree with m301943, it is mysterious and somewhat scary, which makes it so amazing.

I would love to SCUBA dive Lake Tahoe! It kinda reminds me of diving Mamoth Pool Res. in which I wend diving there one month ago... came up w/ hundreds of crayfish!! 5 STARS

Lake Tahoe is a beautiful ,however it is deep and mysterious. Stories of

Tahoe Tessie, murdered Chinese woodcutters, and Washoe peoples deceased which inhabit the waters of Lake Tahoe give me the creeps.

I have done this dive and totally agree it is a superb dive. Great for crayfish collecting as well. Just remember to pay special attention to the dive tables for high altitude diving so you don't get bend anywhere on Lake Tahoe.
