ic.....good rule of thumb while landing on ILS is to descend early so that you won't overshoot the runway...it works nowadays for me=) and always land at a much slower speed during heavy crosswinds and hit the speedbrakes once the aircraft's main landing gear touches the ground...your landing will be good no matter how

Don't feel bad. I've seen a Cessna 182 almost run out of room there. When I saw your post about lunken, I assumed you were from the Cincy area and was just being funny. i wouldn't expect anything with a jet engine to be able to pull that off, but who knows? See ya!

wait....did you use ILS to land or the tricky precision approach radar approach?.....your plane seems to be swaying from side to side trying to get its bearings...something that is not seen in ILS localizing at all...

Hi Justin, I did indeed use the ILS. I replayed the video a couple of times and although I don't see any lateral deviations, I did see some vertical rocking. I went to the iMovie file and noted that I engaged partial speed brakes as I was starting to get too high above the glide slope which caused the vertical deviation that is somewhat apparent :-)

is this musinc trying to set up 'a groove'?

I hadn't thought of it that way but it I suppose it could. I just decided to have a little fun with the movie.

I have to wonder that if I had got it stopped in time, how much fun it would be to take off again? LOL Cheers!

Hah, nice. Now try it at at I69

Well I gave it a try...4 times. Even with max braking and reverse thrust engaged at the point of touchdown, the runway is alas, just too short. It was fun to try though. Thanks for the challenge! :-)
