  • Yet over here in Australia, the song reached Top 20. Everyone loved it here. Goes to show the shit taste of American consumers, doesn't it.

  • @EddieAlda

Not sure which one you are referring, but tastes can vary by continent, even by regions within a continent.

  • @nccvball Im talking about "Don't tell me the time", by Martha Davis. Lack of radio airplay over in USA? There is no way the public would have ignored it otherwise. A brilliant song

  • @EddieAlda

Actually, it received quite a bit of play for the first week or two (at least on the east coast of the US)... then, nothing. When I went back to check where it landed on the charts, #80, I realized no one bought it. I am thinking the record buying public was looking for a Motels' release, not a Martha Davis release.

  • I wonder if Jon ever got Rick Rolld? XD

  • @TuxedoRay

He does look like Rick Astley, doesn't he?

  • none of these songs should have been bigger hits

  • @nccvball and even the towns in a continent, even by the neighborhoods within a continent and even by households within the continent and bedrooms within the houses on the planets within the solar systems in the cosmos in the neighborhoods in the world within the second dimension of the neighborhoods in the cities on the third dimensions and all of the other worlds in all of the dimensions everywhere in the universe of music that are in the opposite universe that made it to popularity! Whew!

  • I know that I don't mind at all was a somewhat of a big hit on the east coast of Canada. Eight Seconds was and still is huge to this day getting much air play on Classic Hits stations.

  • Tom Kimmell has that 1-hit wonder sound if anyone ever did

  • ''We Are What We Are'' should have been a huge hit.

  • i'm gonna learn"I don't mind at all", and single-handedly turn it into a top ten, or die trying!

  • Nocera - Summertime, Summertime WAS HUGE!

  • Among all of these, the top 3 I agree with are the Silencers, the Other Ones, and Curiosity Killed the Cat. All three of these artists should have been WAY bigger than they turned out
