What is Rice balls?
There are made by rolling rice in the palms of the hands. They are also called Onigiri. Usually, they are made into triangular or round shapes with a pickled plum or fish in the middle and wrapped with seaweed on the outside. Like sandwiches for Americans, they are the most popular item for carrying along when on outings or hiking. In convenience stores, they have become popular food items.
Wah! Your rice balls have such a nice shape!

@stocktontorque They might be dango. But since you said filipino, I do suggest they are puto. Puto is a filipino desert. :)

@stocktontorque - if she was filipino it may have been white kutsinta/cutchinta. They're a round, sweet gelatinous rice cake, often they are bright orange, but they come in white too.
