  • Ok ok, I missed the telescopic steering adjustment lever. Ok.

  • Bad review, this man knows nothing.

Not that different to a GTI?

    V6?

    AWD?

    That sound?

and aparently the level on the bottom of the wheel isn't for adjusting the reach of the steering wheel.

    /end rant

who gave this guy a job reviewing cars.

  • Yeah... but it sets an interesting 'bench mark' for the quality of the rest of the content. Kind of proves the biggest defect with the R, in this case, was the nut behind the wheel ;)

  • Someone got to tell this dude hes driving at the wrong side of the road.

  • Good car to get, but its blindspots are HUGE!

  • never compare acceleration from turbo to no turbo,

anyone who really doesnt know alot about cars is going to think a turbo hitting boost "feels" faster than N/a

    douche

  • This guy is a joke knows nothing about the car, worst review ever doesn't have any knowledge about the car.

  • @jamesgalilee - Ive got the '09 R32 MkV and the steering wheel is telescopic (adjustable for reach). I don't know wtf this guy (the reviewer) is talking about!

  • Well done shitty reviewer, steal the theme song from autocar.co.uk.

  • this guy is an idiot.

I've owned a MKV GTi and just about to buy an R32 MKV - and i can tell you that this guys know shite all about driving VW Golfs.

Agree with all the sentiments below - mainstream journalist, none of his own material and i can tell you when i first drove an R32 (after a TTS test drive by the way) i had a smile from here to Africa. not even a TTS sounds this good in my mind.

R32 is a great car, so is the GTi, and thankfully they ARE different. (Turbo vs. non Turbo anyone)

  • Ahh, um, yeah, its a bit noisy. Who is this guy? Journalism-lite, bloody hell. It feels like a re-hashed press-release with a few "this is what I reckon even though I have no clue" remarks like you would make over a beer with mates at the pub. Mainstream newspaper journalism, sucks...

  • This guy REALLY sucks at his job. Lest the steering whell adjustment remark, he said that it had alot of road noise, which is the exact opposite of what all other reviews say about the car. And did you see him trying to think of things to say? He was worried they wouldnt come out proffesionally, he must have said the word refined like 3 or more times. Bet he doesnt even know what the F that word means... Damn shame.

  • Had both Gti & R32, R32 has a feeling of class similar to Audi.
