0:39 to 0:44 contained a reference to the first Armored Core games opening. that scratchy effect, like its watched from an old screen or a tape recorder, shows that it was something recorded, or in this cause, lets just say "previously seen" or a flashback. that AC in the opening of AC3 (and also AC2) are copies of Phoenix, the opening AC from the first. finally, the ac lifting up its head like that is the exact same thing phoenix did after it finished constructing in the opening

i just realized something, 0:39 - 0:44 was a reference to the first armored cores opening. most of you should know what i mean. if you don't, than you may not recognize the opening ac from the 1st either. that AC is a "copy" of the one in the intro of the 1st, the Acs name being Phoenix. the effects put there would make it seem like it is watched from a screen or a tape, meaning it was previously "made" and the ac lifting up its head is the same thing done by Phoenix in AC when it was completed
