Guys, if you saw a clip of the ferrets inside a room, would you assume that they were never let out of that room? Getting fed inside the mansion decreases inter-species rivalry is all.
Everyone needs to settle down, she can take care of her ferrets however she wants to. You really don't need to worry about it. It's not your job to control every pet owner's habits now is it?
@000Asheymae000 You take something that was genetically built as such as a ferret, allow it proper time to adapt to said weather, then decide to give it an added advantage of a tarp to protect them from winds/rain/what have you, and extra blankets for nesting? Yeah, the ferrets are hungry, not cold. Also to point out, anything above a 77 degree aspect runs a high risk of causing them heatstroke. Yes, I know I may be coming off as a dick and all, unless you've had one, people don;t get it, so meh
@000Asheymae000 9+ years and i'm 26 going on 27 years old. So you do the math. Not to mention I own two ferrets myself and as any ferret owner will tell you, it';s a constant learning curve. They are NOT like cats or dogs. There is a reason the domesticated ferret has been kept for so long. You know people actually are able to revert a domesticated ferret who's NOT crossbred with a wilder cousin back to their hunting roots with proper training? Also, again, note the BRIGHT BLUE TARP.
@000Asheymae000 Uh...no..there is no 'liking' cooler climates. They. Have. To. Have. It. They're normal body tempature runs 101 degrees. They are -built- at a genetic level to survive in cooler weather. If they weren't, Polecats/Minks/Whatever other relatives would be -dead-. Yes, if you take a ferret who has spent 4+ years inside a climate controlled home at a comfy 73 degrees, it will be hard to adapt, but if raised as such? No. Not hardly. As for 'research'? I've done plenty. Damn near
