Take away the churchy trappings and lingo, as well as the pastor title and our friend Joel sounds much more like a motivational speaker or therapist with new age leanings...take a look.
@blorgensteen Sorry, for the third time what I'm saying is right, you're not a Jew, I am. Don't you understand what shizzleman stands for? It's all about breaking the law and stealing. The verse you're pulling out of context has nothing to do with treasurey matters, or law. Freely you have received the power to rasise the dead, so now do it. When we think we're right about something no matter how many times it's explained to us, we still won't get it. You should be paying me for this.
@shizzleman8 "To put it mildly, I don't think the gospel should come with a CHARGE! I hear, listen to, and investigate everything."
Matt 7:5
These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: "Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. 6Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. 7As you go, preach this message: 'The kingdom of heaven is near.' 8Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
@shizzleman8 No, I don't see. Jesus was making a point. David was considered a hero in Israel, and for the priests etc criticise Jesus and His disciples for something allowed under the law when David's "offence" was considerably greater exposedt the hypocrisy of those make the accusations.
@blorgensteen "ate the consecrated bread, which is lawful only for priests to eat". This is how Christ justified their breaking the Sabbath, if it wasn't considered stealing there wouldn't be any reason to justify it by what David had done, see?
We don't have examples of Christ casting down fire from heaven to consume souls as we do with the Apostle against Ananias and Saphira. To put it mildly, I don't think the gospel should come with a CHARGE! I hear, listen to, and investigate everything.
@shizzleman8 if you're referring to when the Pharisees got on their case for eating grain from a field, that was for breaking the sabbath, and not for eating hand plucked wheat, which was in keeping with Duet: 23:25 "If you enter your neighbor's grainfield, you may pick kernels with your hands, but you must not put a sickle to his standing grain."
I'm nowhere near being a good Christian, but even I know that much.
maybe you should pay more attention to your bible and less to Joel Onsteen.
@shizzleman8 "When Jesus said "freely you have recieved, freely give." he meant everything was to be given for free.
yeah, like Shizzleman's a real name. don't make me laugh.
and technically, I am also a jew. get over yourself.

I guess my previous post proves that your "investigations" are not as thorough as you would have us believe.
