Yeah me too.... In the 70's My first flight from JFK to LAX was Boeing 747. I was so happy to fly that awesome TWA. I am so sorry that TWA was lost in the sky. But our heart knew that the Ghost TWA were always up the sky forever... I missed the Glory of TWA....When I get older and work at SRQ but there is no TWA there. But my heart belong to aircraft... May God bless to TWA and all others who lost in the sky....

Back in 1981, I just finished a year long tour to Northern Greece at a NATO missile site and I was going to the gate at Athens airport, and when I got there I looked out the windown and there was this nice big TWA 747 with the American Flag on the tail.. and I had the biggest smile on my face as I knew I was going back to the world..!!

Now it's true that American didn't technically merge with TWA right? They merely took the benefits and what little money poor TWA had left. Otherwise the name and everything is up for grabs right?
Yep, me too. How I SO bad miss TWA and the old queens of the sky. But, they're all retiring the older birds. 72's are gone for the most part. L-1011's are gone. What a shame. How I USED to love to fly. Pain in the ass anymore.
