Today so many people are suffered by various cruelty brought by wickedness of this system of things in the world, politics, military, economics, food, environment, law, and anything, Cruel acts have become daily occurances. Bombing, terrorist attacks, murders, assaults, shootings, and rapes make up but a fraction of such incidents. Over and over news media present graphic reports of atrocities, and many prople in industry countries are no longer shocked to see or hear of such cruelty. But someday those people become victims of the incidents.
Where is our hope? In human history there seems to be No Hope other than cruelty. But it is NOT ture! We are NEVER abandoned by God! God is not responsible to human for today's cruelty. The first family of Adam and Eve choiced to follow not Gad but Satan, Every cruelty comes from the selfish choice and Satan. However, God is so much merciful. Deuteronomy chapter 3 verse 31 says, "the Laod your God is a merciful God; He will not abandon you or destroy you : neither will He forget the covenant made on oath with your fathers." In accordance with the covenant God sent Jesus Christ to our earth almost two thousand years ago for the most important covenant with all the nations.
Jesus Christ came to the earth to establish the foundation of the salvation for people of all nations in the world. His disciples have been preaching Good News of the salvation. In Mattew capter 24, Jesus said, "3 ----"Tell us, When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?" 4 And in answer Jesus said to them: "Look out that nobody misleads YOU; 5 for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will mislead many. 6 YOU are going to hear of wars and reports of wars; see that YOU are not terrified. For these things must take place, but the end is not yet. 7 "For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. 8 All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress. 9 "Then people will deliver YOU up to tribulation and will kill YOU, and YOU will be objects of hatred by all the nations on account of my name. 10 Then, also, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another. 11 And many false prophets will arise and mislead many; 12 and because of the increasing of lawlessness the love of the greater number will cool off. 13 But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved. 14 And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come."
Almost for two thousands years, we have endured cruelty that became more and more serious and waited for the returning of Jesus Christ that he promised. During that time our God has been watching us from a distance! Ant time our God and Jesus have been at our side as our shepherd.
God and Jesus are watching us from a distance even now! So, we sing this song, "From a distance, God is watching us", even when we encounter so many problems and placed under very difficult situations.
It's the time of Jesus' returning to us as prophesied in the Bible. Revelation chapter 21 refers to New Jerusalem and Jesus Christ as the King. "1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more. 2 I saw also the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God and prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: "Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." 5 And the One seated on the throne said: "Look! I am making all things new." Also, he says: "Write, because these words are faithful and true." 6 And he said to me: "They have come to pass! I am the Al?pha and the O?me?ga, the beginning and the end. To anyone thirsting I will give from the fountain of the water of life free. 7 Anyone conquering will inherit these things, and I shall be his God and he will be my son."
Jesus' returning is very near! He is the King of God's Kingdom.
The promised new order is to come soon. We will surely see far more large scale miracles by King Jesus. Remenber what Jesus did in the first century. And remember his promise. Psalm chapter 37 says, "29 The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it".
