@hgryphon the myth they were addressing was an Acura car commercial. the commercial showed an Acura speeding across a target the same distance high as another car was dropped.

@chenalos The line that the driving car crossed when it was going 105mph and the height of the dropped car are equal in distance from the X on the ground. The myth is that you can drive over the X before the dropped car lands, even though they're equidistant from the X.

Sadly this wasn't well executed. This test is inconclusive because a car doesnt get much traction on dirt limiting it's acceleration, also they could have used a newer more powerful luxury car.

The whole speed thing kind of reminded me of Back to The Future (if you don't understand, watch the movie). That was kickass.
